# Visualisation of case numbers in the cantons Challenge: The case numbers are an important basis for estimating the spread of the epidemic. Let's visualize them! ## Guidance - Use open data! Always cite your sources, and try to make sure you are using the most authentic and stable ones available. - [Consider the issues](https://forum.opendata.ch/t/epidemic-curves/627/6) when you are preparing your visualization for wider consumption. - See [Ten Considerations Before You Create Another Chart About COVID-19](https://medium.com/nightingale/ten-considerations-before-you-create-another-chart-about-covid-19-27d3bd691be8) by Amanda Makulec. - Visualisierung Bund / Kantone: https://rsalzer.github.io/COVID_19_CH/ (Code) - Visualisierung Zürich: https://rsalzer.github.io/COVID_19_KT_ZH/ (Code) - https://github.com/zdavatz/covid2019_ch_map - Create a map of Switzerland and plot the COVID19 data on the map. Use Swisstopo, Public Domain Data and OpenSource Software. Build and deploy. - Shiny Dashboard, Anpassung von meinem [Globalen Dashboard](https://chschoenenberger.shinyapps.io/covid19_dashboard/), für die Schweiz: https://chschoenenberger.shinyapps.io/covid19_dashboard_ch/ - hier gezeigt: ![](https://us-east-1.linodeobjects.com/dribdat/uploads/upload_dfa2156edfac60a5040bf1dbdf8ab8f4.png) - https://github.com/daenuprobst/covid19-cases-switzerland / https://www.corona-data.ch/ via [@skepteis](https://twitter.com/skepteis/status/1239965029048311812), shown below: ![](https://us-east-1.linodeobjects.com/dribdat/uploads/upload_1d19167d84f27673327c6916246e6d01.png) ## Tools - [Compare between regions/countries](https://covid19.yaonotes.org/).
